Are you and your dog ready for some Summer fun? It’s getting close to that time. What can you do this Summer with your dog so that he is entertained just like the kids? Can’t leave the dog out of the Summer fun! You can even get the kids in on the fun with the dog, but always make sure you supervise them.
Playing Fetch:
This one is an oldie but goodie. If your dog is fetch playing dog, get the kids involved (if they’re old enough). Wayne doesn’t really play fetch, but give him a good belly rub and he’ll love you forever.

Early Morning Walks:
Wayne and I are morning people. Sean….not so much. In Texas, it gets hot FAST, so getting a morning walk in is a fun way for your dog to get some exercise. I also love the quietness of the morning without a bunch of cars driving by us.

Playing in the Sprinklers:
There are so many inflatables that make sprinklers fun in the backyard. Put the sprinklers on and let the kids and dog run around and chase each other!
Dog Swimming Pool:
Aka a kiddie pool and the most obvious Summer activity as you can imagine. At our first house, we had a pool and built a long tanning shelf where Wayne would sit and soak in the water for hours. For Summer, we plan on getting a kid swimming pool that Wayne and Ava can both play in. You can add in some dog toys to make it extra fun.
What’s the best way to end any activity? With a treat of course! I’ve shared how Wayne loves Nudges® Dog Treats before and they recently came out with new varieties, available at Walmart! They come in both Nudges® Jerky Chews or Nudges® Protein Biscuits. Nudges® Protein Biscuits are made with protein as the #1 ingredient, with no wheat flour and are all-natural. Nudges® Jerky Chews are a dual-texture of a chicken chew wrapped in chicken jerky made without rawhide or fillers!
Whether you pick Nudges® Jerky Chews or Nudges® Protein Biscuits, your dog is going to love a nutritious treat after a fun activity!
