This post is sponsored by OREO. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
What is that? It’s a m y s t e r y!
Ava is 2.5 this month and this stage is so much fun! She’s so smart and ask a million questions. One thing I’ve really noticed is she’s wanting to do everything I do. If I’m wearing sneakers, she wants to wear sneakers. If I’m helping Owen, she wants to instead (which is so cute!). This has been interesting when it comes to food though. I’ve actually been able to get her to try more vegetables this way. However, It’s no secret I have a major sweet tooth.
I follow the 80/20 rule when it comes to food and my goal is to incorporate the same mindset with Ava, so I’ll let her try a little bit of my desserts. During my most recent Walmart trip, I recently picked up a few packages of Mystery OREO’s for us to try out. There is currently a BOGO free Ibotta offer. Find out more here: http://bit.ly/2vBHKqf
After trying it as a mystery flavor, I definitely hope OREO puts it on the shelf permanently. Have you tried it yet?!
2.5 has also come with major independence and having an option on everything. While I want to promote and encourage her independence, we’ve started by giving her options. We incorporate it from everything from clothing to food choices, we give her two options. I know toddler food is a big topic, so for school lunches, I’ll try to incorporate one new food item each week. I’ve realized she’s more inclined to try something while eating with her friends at school than at home. It’s funny though, I’ll give her an OREO as part of her lunch and her teacher told me she gets so excited when she sees it. Oh the little things!
I’ll share a full recap of 2.5 later this month, but I wanted to share the biggest thing I’ve noticed because I’m so proud of her. If you know Ava, she can be so shy and reserved unless she knows you. She has such a great vocabulary for a two year old, so I sometimes forget she’s only two. She has really come out of her shell and wants to play with other kids such as at school, park and gym. This is such a change from a couple months ago when she’d cling to whatever adult she was around. I’m not sure if it’s Owen being around, but I’m loving who she’s becoming.
